Contact Types

The types of contacts determine the digital marketing actions that can performed; i.e. a contact can be directly reached via SMS and/or email, an opted out and/or bounced contact can not be reached directly.

Contact

Everyone who has opted in, in any way, to your contact list. A valid mobile number (MSISDN) and/or a valid email address are required for each contact.

Opted Out

Any contact who decided to click the opt out link, unsubscribes from your list, thus, you are not able to send him any message or include her in your campaigns.

Any contact that has opted out needs to go through an opt in procedure in order to be reachable again. Tellody allows you to manually opt out a contact from your list; in that case you can re-establish her status whenever you wish.

An opted out contact is marked with a red dot in the contact’s icon.

Forgotten

Any contact who decided to click the forget me link is automatically opted out and all her personal information is deleted. Tellody service fully complies with GDPR guidelines.

Bounced

Any contact that could not be reached due to a permanent reason; most likely contact’s mobile number or/and email address is invalid (does not exist or contains a typo), or, less likely, the receiving mail server is blocking our IP addresses or domains.

Tellody allows you to manually bounce a contact from your list; in that case you can re-establish her status whenever you wish.

A contact with a bounced Email address is marked with a snowflake in the contact’s icon.

A contact with a bounced Mobile nubmer is marked with a lock in the contact’s icon.
